About Cooks Clearing & Landscape LLC

Rocky Mount takes its name from a rock ledge in the Tar River, and the water still works over it every morning while the rest of town is waking up. Cooks Clearing & Landscape LLC likes that hour — mower on the grass while the bermuda still holds dew, before the coastal-plain heat comes up out of the ground. Mowing, edging and trimming are the daily bread here, along with the shaggy back corners a yard tends to give up on by July. The reward is simple and visible: an even nap across the turf, a hard border along the drive, and not one clipping left on the concrete. One yard done right, then the truck rolls to the next.
