About Rightmyer Lawncare and Stump Grinding

Every so often a winter storm glazes Halifax County, and somewhere in Roanoke Rapids an old water oak decides it has held enough ice. What is left behind is a stump — a stubborn gray disc in the middle of a lawn that mowers must swerve around for years unless somebody deals with it. Rightmyer Lawncare and Stump Grinding deals with it, grinding the thing down below grade until there is nothing but a ring of chips and open ground ready to be leveled and seeded. The rest of the year is mowing, edging, trimming and cleanups, the ordinary rhythm that keeps a property in order between storms. There is a distinct pleasure in handing back an unbroken lawn where an obstacle used to stand, and Rightmyer Lawncare and Stump Grinding goes looking for it.
