About Adams Lawn & Landscapes

Above Roanoke Rapids the old canal still runs its patient line beside the river, stonework and towpath green with a century of shade. Adams Lawn & Landscapes keeps the yards on either side of that green seam — mowing, edging, string trimming, mulching beds and shaping shrubs through the long growing season that opens here in March and does not close until the pines go quiet in November. There is satisfaction in the last pass, when the mower lines finally run true to the street and the walk is blown clean of clippings. The whole craft can be read in the small places: the strip beside the driveway, the ring around a mailbox post, the seam where turf gives way to sidewalk. Roanoke Rapids is a town that notices a squared-off yard, and Adams Lawn & Landscapes gives it plenty to notice.
