About GCI Turf Academy

September is when fescue gets its second life in this part of North Carolina — nights cool off, dew comes back before dawn, and thin ground that struggled all August will take seed if you give it the chance. GCI Turf Academy builds the year around that window: core aeration, overseeding, feeding, and mowing at a height that lets the blade stand instead of scald. Rockingham County summers are hard on turf, so the wins are measured in what survives the heat and what fills back in behind it. Watching bare patches knit closed by the first frost is the whole reward. Lawns in Reidsville and out through Wentworth, Ruffin and Browns Summit are worked on that same calendar.
