About Ajnlk's Landscaping and Beyond

April softens the red clay around Reidsville, and anything set into it comes up wearing that particular Carolina rust on its roots. Ajnlk's Landscaping and Beyond works the planting season for what it is — cutting fresh bed lines, setting shrubs and seasonal color, laying mulch dark against new green, then keeping the lawn mowed and trimmed as the warm months take hold. Beds hold their shape here only if someone gives them a shape to hold, and there is quiet pleasure in a curve that still looks drawn six weeks later. The work runs from the first spring cleanup straight through to the leaves coming down. Yards in Reidsville and out toward Wentworth, Ruffin and Eden all get walked the same way before a shovel comes off the trailer.
