RED OAK LANDSCAPES

About RED OAK LANDSCAPES

The town wears its tree in its name, and come October the oaks around Red Oak turn slow and stubborn, holding rust-colored leaves long after the maples have let go. RED OAK LANDSCAPES works under those branches — mowing, trimming, edging, leaf cleanup and landscape upkeep for yards from the crossroads out to the farm lanes. Autumn in Nash County is a long, generous stretch: mild afternoons, acorns underfoot, grass still growing when it ought to have quit. Raking a yard clean here means coming back for the second fall and the third, until the last limb stands bare. It is unglamorous work, and a swept lawn beneath a wide old oak is a genuinely fine thing to stop and look at.
