Tarheel Lawn Service

About Tarheel Lawn Service

The first real cut of the year lands about the time the dogwoods and redbuds come out along the back roads, when the bottomland toward the Cape Fear is greening faster than anybody expected. Tarheel Lawn Service is out for that opening week, knocking down the winter shag and giving a yard its shape back after months of doing nothing. Spring here is generous and a little unruly, so getting on a schedule early is what keeps a lawn ahead of it instead of behind. Mowing, trimming, edging and a clean sweep of the walk — the same handful of steps, done properly, every visit. A yard that starts the season right tends to look right straight through it, and that is a good thing to hand somebody in April.
