About Arbor Enterprises

Everything in Pittsboro still turns around the old courthouse circle, and by late October the hardwoods along Hillsboro Street go copper and the traffic slows down to look at them. Arbor Enterprises works the yards out from that center, mowing while the piedmont grass makes its last strong push and clearing the enormous leaf fall Chatham County's oaks and maples let go all at once. Red clay and rolling ground make every lawn its own small puzzle, and solving it is the interesting part of the day. Edges get recut, walks get cleared, and the yard is left looking deliberate. By the time the trees stand bare, the places on the route are swept and squared and easy on the eye all winter.
