About Always Grinding Stump Services

Most Sampson County winters pass as plain cold rain, and then one night of sleet turns the sand roads and the church lot at Piney Grove to glass. Always Grinding Stump Services works that morning, clearing drives and walks, scraping the frozen crust off parking areas, and spreading sand where the ground has no grip left. Longleaf pines bend under the weight of it, and by noon the sun has usually started to win the argument, but the hours before then are the ones that matter. Ice and snow come seldom to this stretch of the coastal plain, which is exactly why a driveway here does not clear itself. Getting people out to the highway on a rare white morning is worth being up early for.
