About Urbicare Landscaping and Hardscapes

Grandfather Mountain holds the northern sky over this stretch of Avery County, and the ground beneath it is more stone than soil, which is a fine thing when stone is what you build with. Urbicare Landscaping and Hardscapes sets walls, patios and walkways into slopes that would otherwise wash, and keeps the lawns around them mowed, edged and mulched. Hemlock shade, cold water in every ditch, a driveway that bends twice before it finds the house: mountain properties ask for patience as much as muscle. There is real satisfaction in a wall that sits level in ground that never is. By the time the mountain empties out in late fall, the beds are clean and the stone has already begun to weather in.
