EZ Tree

About EZ Tree

Snow reaches Surry County only a few times a winter, and when it does the Big Pinnacle wears white above the treeline hours before the first driveway is open. EZ Tree works those mornings, plowing the mouths of drives along the ridge roads and cutting a lane clear down to gravel. Walks and steps get shoveled by hand, and the low spot at the foot of a grade gets salt before the afternoon melt can set up hard again. What makes it worth doing is small and exact: a truck backing out toward US 52 without hesitation, an apron that looks swept rather than shoved. Snow is uncommon enough around Pilot Mountain that it earns a proper answer when it arrives.
