Yards By Us

About Yards By Us

Late October around Pfafftown, the hardwoods let go all at once and a lawn vanishes under maple and oak in about three days. Yards By Us runs that fall stretch hard — leaves pulled off grass, out of beds and away from downspouts, mowed and mulched or hauled off, and the walks cleared again by afternoon. The rest of the year holds the same shape: regular mowing, edging, trimming, mulch in spring, shrubs kept from crowding the house. Fescue country rewards a good autumn, so the seeding and cleanup done now is what the yard looks like next May. And there is something worth doing about turning a smothered lawn back into green in a single visit, with the pile at the curb the only sign it happened.
