Steve's Lawn & Garden

About Steve's Lawn & Garden

In June the crepe myrtles come on all over Oxford and the back yards fill with the smell of cut grass and tomato vines. Steve's Lawn & Garden works those home lots the way a gardener would — mowing the open ground even, trimming carefully around the beds and borders, keeping the string away from anything somebody planted on purpose. Then the edge gets cut, and the walks get blown, and the whole yard reads as one tended piece rather than a lawn with obstacles in it. Granville County soil keeps things growing hard from spring right through the first cool nights, so the visits stay regular. It is a simple pleasure, a back yard put back in order before the weekend.
