About Floyd Land Management

Out past Oxford's last streetlight the lots open up — wide grass running to a loblolly edge, the smell of cut green hanging in August air that refuses to move. Floyd Land Management takes on that kind of ground, mowing the big open stretches and then coming back around to trim the fence rows and posts by hand. Edging the drive at the end is what makes a country property look kept rather than merely cut. Granville County land grows fast and forgives slowly, so the trick is returning before the grass gets the upper hand. When the machines shut off and the field goes still, the difference between morning and evening is the whole point of the day.
