About Lawns Plus

Oriental wakes to halyards ticking against masts and the Neuse spreading wide enough to look like open sea. Lawns Plus works the yards between the harbor and the creeks, where salt air, tidal ditches and sandy soil all have opinions about how grass should grow. Mowing and edging, string trimming around bulkheads and dock steps, beds mulched, shrubs shaped, clippings cleared so nothing washes toward the water. A waterfront lot gets looked at from two directions, the street and the channel, and both sides ought to read clean. On a still evening, with the marsh going gold and boats swinging on their moorings, a fresh-cut lawn is the last neat line before the water takes over.
