About Lara’s lawn landscaping

By evening in Old Fields the cicadas take the whole sky over, and the smell of cut grass hangs in the warm air like it intends to stay. Lara's lawn landscaping leaves that scent up and down the road — mowing, trimming close around trees and posts, edging, and a blow-off that leaves the porch steps bare. Long shadows stretch across a yard freshly leveled and the entire place softens. Summer here hands you a lawn that grows back faster than you can stand and admire it, which is the arrangement, and the reason next week is already on the calendar.
