About Angel Flores Lawn care LLC

On Ocracoke everything comes by ferry, including patience. Angel Flores Lawn care LLC works the sandy yards and shell drives around Silver Lake and out along the back lanes, where live oaks lean inland from a lifetime of wind off Pamlico Sound. Mowing, trimming around fence posts and fig bushes, edging the walks, keeping beds clear of the vines and volunteers a salt-damp summer throws up overnight. A yard on an island is a small held thing, ringed by water and weather, and cutting it clean is a kind of insistence. When the afternoon light comes off the harbor and the mower shuts down, you can hear the water again, and the lot looks tended in a place that does not make tending easy.
