Gonzo's lawn maintenance

About Gonzo's lawn maintenance

Summer storms here announce themselves early — a bruise of cloud stacking up west over the ridge, the air going still, then the whole sky letting go at once. Gonzo's lawn maintenance reads that sky and works ahead of it, getting the cut down, the trimmer around the posts and fence lines, the walks blown clean before the first fat drops hit the clay. Afterward Oak Grove smells like wet pine and cut grass, and the yards stand up greener for the soaking. There is a rhythm to a Piedmont summer: grow hard, rain hard, mow again Thursday. Keeping step with it is the craft.
