About DJ Lawn Care

April turns everything in the Piedmont a soft yellow — pine pollen on the porch rails, on the truck hood, drifting along the shoulder of every farm road around Oak Grove. DJ Lawn Care works right through it, because that is also when the fescue wakes up and the growing starts in earnest. Late afternoon is the good hour: light going long across the fields, the mower running steady, trimmer line snapping around mailbox posts and shed corners. Then the blower comes off the trailer and the driveway goes back to gray concrete instead of clippings and pollen. A small thing, maybe. It is the thing people notice when they pull in.
