Latta Lawn Care

About Latta Lawn Care

October comes to North Fork in a rush of color, the ridgelines turning russet and gold and then shaking their leaves loose onto every yard in a matter of days. Latta Lawn Care works through that shedding season with the last mowings of the year, clearing leaves from lawns and beds, cutting back the summer’s overgrowth and edging the drive one final time before the hard cold. Chilly mornings leave the low places white until the sun clears the hill, and by noon the cut grass glitters with melt. This is the work that lets a lawn rest well over winter, uncovered and even, ready to wake clean in spring. As chimney smoke rises on a crisp evening, a Latta-kept yard stands bare-swept and tidy beneath the emptying trees.
