About BRI-LEX LAWN & LANDSCAPE LLC

Fog sits low in the Yadkin bottom on an April morning at Buck Shoals, and it burns off about the time the first mower of the day gets rolling. BRI-LEX Lawn & Landscape LLC works the red-clay yards and long farm drives north of the river, where a lawn runs up to a fence line and then keeps going. Mowing, string trimming, edging, bed mulching and seasonal cleanups — the ordinary work that makes a place look tended. There is a particular pleasure in the edge along a gravel drive: one clean line between clay and green, cut so it reads from the mailbox. By the time the vineyard rows on the far hill catch full sun, the crew is two yards on and the clippings are gone.
