Quartz Creek

About Quartz Creek

Turn a spade in Newton ground and you get red clay and a scattering of white quartz, the Piedmont showing what it is made of. Quartz Creek works with that soil rather than against it, keeping lawns cut at a height that lets the roots hold on through a hot, dry Catawba County stretch. The round is mowing, trimming along the fencerows and creek banks, edging the walks, and blowing the surfaces clean before leaving. Seasonal cleanups clear out what the year drops, so the ground is not smothered going into the cold months. There is something steady about a lawn that stays even and green over hard clay — it takes attention, and it is worth it.
