About Rios Landscape LLC

Every few winters a cold rain over Carteret County turns to ice about the time the sun should be coming up, and Newport wakes to a coating on every step, drive and rail. Rios Landscape LLC works those mornings: scraping and plowing whatever fell, opening the drive and the path to the porch, and laying treatment where the glaze is thickest and the pitch is worst. Being ready for a rare event is its own discipline — equipment sitting most of the year for the two days that need it. The clearing goes quick and total; the temperature climbs, the pavement dries, and by afternoon it looks like nothing ever happened. That is the version of a winter storm everybody around here wants.
