About Garner's Landscaping

Between the Croatan pines and the water, Newport gets its summer early and keeps it late, humid from June clear through September. Garner's Landscaping keeps pace with all of it — mowing on a steady rotation while the grass is running, cutting the edges along the sidewalk and the drive, trimming around posts and fence lines, and clearing the yard of whatever the wind and the squalls bring down. Coastal lawns deal with salt air, sandy ground and heavy August rain, so the height is set to help the turf hold rather than to look shorn. Beds get their outlines back, and the drive is cleared of clippings before the truck pulls away. On a long light evening, a yard cut that morning holds its shape and its color right up until dark.
