About Bogue Sound Septic & Grading Inc

Snow on Bogue Sound is a strange and lovely thing — white laid over the marsh grass, the water flat and steel-colored, Newport hushed for a day or two. It also stops everything, because coastal ground and coastal traffic get almost no practice at it. Bogue Sound Septic & Grading Inc turns out when it happens: plowing driveways and lots, shoveling out the front steps and doorways, and treating the ice that lingers where wind off the water keeps a surface frozen. The freeze usually rides in behind a hard cold front, glazes whatever was wet, and is gone again within a couple of days. Until it goes, somebody has to open the pavement, and that is the job.
