About Diaz Tree Service & Lanscapes LLC

Up in the New Castle end of Wilkes County the ridges climb toward the Blue Ridge escarpment, and March comes in on a wind that finds every weak limb on the place. Diaz Tree Service follows behind it with saws and a rake — storm damage cleanup along the pasture fences and the farm lanes, broken tops brought down, the ground cleared. The rest of the calendar is steadier: pruning shade and fruit trees into good shape, trimming back what leans on a barn or a porch, removing the ones that have given up at the crown. Hardwood grows slow and heavy in these hollows and it does not forgive a careless cut, so every drop gets its rope and its plan. When the job closes out, the light falls into the yard differently, and that change is the whole reward.
