Nashville sits right about where the Piedmont's red clay gives up and the Coastal Plain's sand takes over, and lawns on either side of that line behave like different animals entirely. Oakleys Lawn maintenance LLC reads both — mowing, trimming and edging across Nash County from the first warm stretch of March onward. Early spring is when a yard decides what sort of year it intends to have, and a clean first cut sets the tone for all of it. Watching a winter-tired lawn come back thick under steady care is one of the better things about this line of work. After that it is a full season ahead and a steady hand on the wheel.
