About McCubbins Lawn & Irrigation Services

Six in the morning the zones come on across Nags Head, a hiss of spray heads working before the sun has any heat in it. McCubbins Lawn & Irrigation Services tends both halves of that picture — mowing, edging and trimming above ground, and below it the sprinkler lines: spring startup, heads adjusted so the pattern lands on grass instead of pavement, leaks chased down, systems winterized when the season turns. Sand drains so quickly here that a system out of tune shows up in the lawn within days. Getting the coverage right is the difference between an even green yard and one with pale rings burned into it. Most of that work stays invisible, which is fine; the grass tells you it was done.
