About West landscaping

Evenings the sun drops behind the ridges west of town, down the way the Hiwassee runs toward the dam, and the last light comes level across the yards on that side of Murphy. Grass cut earlier that day glows in it, every band of the mowing pattern lit from the side. West landscaping aims for that — even cutting, close trimming where the deck cannot reach, edges drawn along drives and walks, beds mulched and kept off the turf line. Leaves get cleared when the season turns and the light goes short. Murphy and the communities down the river share the same schedule.
