A Cut Above Lawn Service

About A Cut Above Lawn Service

Some mornings the Valley River bottom holds its fog until nearly nine, and the ridgelines above Murphy come out of it one at a time. A Cut Above Lawn Service is out in that hour with the deck still wet, laying the first stripe across a yard while the town is still making up its mind about the day. The work is the plain sequence that gives a lawn its corners back: mowing, trimming close to posts and foundations, edging the walk, blowing the drive clear. The last pass is the one worth standing back for, when the line between grass and gravel is straight enough to draw. Grass runs hard in Cherokee County from April to October, and this is week-after-week attention to it, through Murphy and the valleys that open off it.
