Deep summer in Moyock has a sound to it — cicadas in the tree line, a mower two streets over, thunder stacking up west toward the swamp by four o'clock. Hall'n Grass LLC works inside that soundtrack, keeping up with yards that run hard in the heat and the heavy coastal rain. Mowing on a set week, trimming around posts and play sets, edging along the drive, clippings blown clear before the truck rolls. Bermuda and centipede both take this climate if they are cut at the right height, and there is a plain pride in a lawn that stays even and green straight through the worst of August.
