Twice a day the water pulls back off the marsh and the spartina lies over in the sun; twice a day it returns and floats the grass upright again. Turf and Tide Pros works the yards along that edge — mowing, edging and trimming right out to the bulkhead, where lawn stops and Bogue Sound takes over. Beds are mulched and weeded, shrubs shaped, and clippings cleared off walks and dockside boards before anyone tracks them inside. Waterfront turf takes wind, glare and salt spray at once, so it wants attention on a schedule instead of in an emergency. Cut and swept, a sound-side lawn looks like it belongs to the view it borders.
