M&M Lawn Care

About M&M Lawn Care

October in the sandhills does not so much cool off as let go — pine straw drifting down in long copper handfuls, oak leaves collecting in the low corners of a yard, the light going soft by five o'clock. M&M Lawn Care meets that season head-on, cutting the grass while it still grows and hauling off what the trees keep dropping on it. Leaves left sitting through a wet Cumberland County autumn will mat down and smother a lawn, so the raking, blowing and clearing matter as much as the mowing does. There is real pleasure in stepping back from a yard that was ankle-deep an hour ago and is now open, even and breathing again. The season keeps giving the work back, and so does the crew.
