November takes the ridges above Mayo Lake down to gray, and everything the hardwoods carried all summer lands in the yards below. Washburn's landscaping meets that fall — leaves gathered and hauled off before the first hard rain packs them into the turf, the drive swept back to its edges, beds mulched ahead of the cold.
