Big Earl’s

About Big Earl’s

Marion wakes early — brick storefronts on Main Street catching first sun, a freight easing through on the old Clinchfield line, the Blue Ridge standing up close and blue to the north. Big Earl's runs lawns in that town and the coves around it, mowing, trimming and edging through the long growing months. McDowell County yards are rarely flat, so the job means reading the slope and cutting it clean anyway. A finished yard here has square corners, a neat strip along the curb, and no clippings left in the street. Marion, Old Fort, Nebo and Pleasant Gardens are all a short haul.
