About All Star Services, Inc.

The Lumber River runs tea-dark and unhurried past Lumberton, and the light that lifts off it at daybreak is the light All Star Services, Inc. works in. Mowers go out early, before the Robeson County humidity thickens, and the grass falls in parallel rows that hold their line all the way to the property edge. Trimming tightens the shape around mailboxes, fence posts and the roots of old water oaks; the blower sends stray clippings back off the walk and into the turf where they belong. By the time the day turns heavy, the yard is already done and quiet. A cut lawn here says somebody was up before the heat.
