DKW Cuts

About DKW Cuts

Lower Creek runs quiet through Caldwell County, and on summer mornings the fog lifts off it slowly, as if the day were still making up its mind. DKW Cuts works those early hours, mowers going while the grass still holds dew and before the heat slides down off the Brushy Mountains. Foothill lawns here shoot up through June and go gold by October, so each stretch of the calendar asks something different of a blade and a blower. The satisfaction is in the finish: the cut laid out in even rows, the trimming tight against the walk, nothing left scattered on the drive. Street to street, that is the whole ambition here — a yard that looks tended from the road.
