Johnson's Service's

About Johnson's Service's

April in Lexington coats everything in yellow — cars, porch rails, the water down at Lake Thom-A-Lex — and then one good rain washes it all off and the town turns green at once. Johnson's Service's meets that green head-on: mowing, trimming, edging, cleaning out the beds and laying fresh mulch while the dogwoods are still open. Through summer it's the weekly cut and the shrubs kept in line; through fall it's leaves off the lawn and out of the corners where the wind stacks them. Nothing showy about any of it — a yard that's been looked after simply reads that way from the street. That's the whole point of the trip.
