Fulcher's Lawn & Garden Service

About Fulcher's Lawn & Garden Service

August in La Grange arrives as heat first and thunder second — corn shining, crape myrtles heavy over the side streets, and a purple wall of cloud stacking up west of town by four o'clock. Fulcher's Lawn & Garden Service keeps ahead of that weather, cutting between storms while the sandy loam is still firm enough to hold a wheel. The work is mowing and string trimming, beds weeded and edged, shrubs shaped back off the porch rails, clippings cleared from the walk before rain can paste them down. Grass grows fast in this soil and forgives nothing, so the rhythm stays steady and the return stays regular. When the sun drops and the yard is short and even and smelling green, the porch becomes a better place to sit.
