Alpha Advantage

About Alpha Advantage

Behind the dune line, Kitty Hawk Woods runs dark and green — maritime forest of oak, pine and swamp holly, the last of it before the sand takes over. Alpha Advantage works the yards cut into that shade, which grow differently than the open beach lots a half mile east: slower grass, more needles and leaf litter, more edges to hold. Mowing, trimming, edging, leaf and needle clearing, and keeping bed lines from disappearing into the understory. Morning here smells like pine and salt at the same time, and the light comes down through the canopy in pieces. Keeping a forest lot looking intentional rather than reclaimed is quiet, particular work, and it shows.
