OBX Yard Co.

About OBX Yard Co.

South of town the houses give out and the national seashore takes over at Coquina Beach, and the last yards before that line catch the full weight of an October wind. OBX Yard Co. works them into fall — mowing while the growth lasts, leaves and pine needles cleared out of beds and corners, mulch refreshed, shrubs shaped, the whole lot put to rights before the weather turns serious. Autumn light on the banks is low and clean and it shows every edge left unfinished. So the edges get finished. A yard tidied heading into winter is a yard that starts easy again in March.
