About Matthews Lawn Maintenance Services

Kenansville is a courthouse town, small and orderly, where the blocks around the square are walked more than they are driven. Matthews Lawn Maintenance Services works to a route and a calendar, which is what those blocks reward — the same day, the same height, week after week, so nothing ever gets away. Mowing, edging, trimming and blowing down, with the clippings off the sidewalk before the crew pulls out. Duplin summers are long and wet enough that grass here will double on you in ten days, and staying ahead of that is the whole discipline. Late in the day, when the heat finally lets go and the yards along the street all lie cut the same direction, the town looks the way a county seat ought to look.
