L & T Tree Service

About L & T Tree Service

Elkin was built where the creek met the river, and the old mill blocks still give the town its shape — brick, sidewalks, and shade trees older than the houses standing under them. L & T Tree Service spends the cold months up in those crowns, because January is when a tree's structure tells the truth and pruning cuts do the most good. Trimming pulls limbs off tin roofs and back from the power drop; removals come down in sections over narrow yards where the fence is only a few feet from the trunk. Ice storms are the ones that rearrange a whole street here, and the cleanup runs long — driveways first, then yards, then the curb line. There is something satisfying about a mill-town block that looks squared away by the time the streetlights come on.
