About Jackson's Lawn & Landscaping

November drops its leaves all at once around here — water oak, sweetgum, and the long brown needles that come off the pines toward Croatan. Jackson's Lawn & Landscaping works that late season hard: leaves raked out of the beds and off the turf and hauled away before the rain mats them into the grass, then mulch laid fresh so the borders hold their shape through the cold months. While the grass is growing the routine stays plain and unbroken — cut, trim, edge, blow — and that steadiness is what keeps a lawn even instead of patchy. Out past Verona toward Maysville the pines close in, and opening a yard back up is a change you can see from the mailbox. By December the property is put to bed, and spring has that much less to undo.
