About E.T. Lawncare

At first light the creek that gives this place its name lies flat and steaming, and a heron lifts off it without any hurry at all. E.T. Lawncare is on the road by then, because in eastern Pender County the cool hours are the only ones a person truly wants to spend behind a mower. Weekly cutting, string trimming around mailboxes and outbuildings, edging where the turf has crawled out over a drive, and a clean sweep of the walks. Grass here grows straight through heat that would stop it anywhere else, so the schedule never gets to relax. By the time the day turns heavy, another yard has been squared away.
