Paul's Lawn Mowing and more

About Paul's Lawn Mowing and more

Evening light lasts a long while over Iron Station in June, and the air drifting in from the lake country east of here takes the edge off the day. Paul's Lawn Mowing and more works those last cool hours as gladly as the early ones — mowing, string trimming, edging along the drive, and a final pass down the walk before the truck loads up. Lincoln County yards run from tight in-town lots to long rolling ones with room for a mower to open up, and both get cut to the same even line. Autumn brings leaves off the big oaks and the work shifts to clearing them down to grass again. It is honest outdoor work in a place with old iron in its name and pasture still at the edge of town.
