Bushy Fork Services

About Bushy Fork Services

Hurdle Mills sits where the creeks and the farm roads cross in northern Person County — pasture, hardwood ridges, ponds holding the last of the light. Bushy Fork Services covers the full year here: mowing, trimming, edging and cleanup while things are growing, then plowing, shoveling and ice treatment when a winter storm comes down out of the Virginia line. Country drives are long and often gravel, so clearing one properly takes more than a single pass and a wave from the cab. Whether it is a June lawn cut clean to the fence or a January drive open before breakfast, the object is the same — a place that works for the people living on it. Hurdle Mills, Timberlake, Rougemont and the roads toward Roxboro are the range.
