About TreeScape Tree Services, Landscape & Design

Shade is the oldest comfort in eastern North Carolina, and around St. Pauls it comes courtesy of trees that have been standing longer than most of the houses under them. TreeScape Tree Services, Landscape & Design works with those trees rather than against them — thinning a crown so wind moves through it, lifting limbs off a roof, taking down what has gone hollow, and reading a property to figure out where the next tree ought to go. The design side follows from that: beds shaped to the lay of the ground, plantings chosen for sandy soil, borders drawn so the yard has structure instead of just grass. Mowing, trimming and mulch keep the whole composition legible week to week. A place looks finished when the tall things and the low things finally agree with each other.
