About J & J Lawn Services & Home Maintenance

Most mornings the fog comes up out of the gorges and settles over Highlands until the sun burns a hole through it, and everything drips — hemlock, laurel, the tailgate, the grass. J & J Lawn Services & Home Maintenance starts anyway, mowing once the blades dry, then trimming, edging and hauling off whatever the last storm brought down. Plateau properties go quiet for months at a stretch, so upkeep up here means looking in on a place as much as cutting it. A lawn held even against the wild edge of the woods is a small and satisfying piece of order. Around Macon County that steadiness is the whole service.
