Highlands Lawn & Garden

About Highlands Lawn & Garden

Highlands sits above four thousand feet and catches more rain than almost anywhere else in the East, which is why moss climbs the stone walls and the grass here never really quits. Highlands Lawn & Garden works with that abundance instead of against it — mowing on a tight rotation, trimming, edging, and clearing lawns and beds when the season turns over. Summers stay cool on the plateau, so growth runs long and even rather than burning itself out in August. The pleasure is in the contrast: a mown lawn held smooth against all that wet green pressing in from the rhododendron. It is a particular kind of ground, and it asks for a particular kind of attention.
